In this role, you will be part of a dynamic team that ensures the seamless operation of AWS's dedicated cloud regions through proactive reliability engineering and automation. We are looking for individuals with a deep technical skill set encompassing Development, Operations, Networking, and Systems Engineering who also embrace the Agile mindset and DevOps philosophies. Create and implement innovative solutions that reduce repetitive tasks while enhancing system automation and minimizing manual intervention. Enhance Regional Reliability:
Expand our regional coverage for critical AWS services. Deep Dive and Troubleshoot:
Proactively identify and resolve region-specific challenges impacting mission-critical operations through comprehensive analyses. Mentorship and Growth:
Collaborate with industry experts, sharing knowledge and fostering a culture of excellence within the team. Support National Security:
Work with U.S. Intelligence and Defense agencies to deliver secure and scalable cloud solutions. A Day in the Life: On any given day, you will work alongside service engineers to preemptively address potential issues, advance automation initiatives, and engage with leading technical talents within AWS. Your contributions will be crucial in building and operating high-performing systems that will alleviate operational burdens across other AWS Dedicated Cloud teams. Basic Qualifications: 3+ years of systems administration experience (Linux/Windows). Experience working with scripting languages. Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a collaborative team environment. In lieu of the above work experience, a degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field. Current, active U.S. Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph. Preferred Qualifications: 3+ years of experience with cloud computing technologies. 3+ years of networking experience. 3+ years of experience with production computing environments.
