POSITION SUMMARY

The D365 Finance & Operations (F&O) ERP Developer is a highly technical role responsible for designing, building, customizing, and maintaining the Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O platform to support business operations. This individual collaborates closely with cross-functional business users, analysts, and IT stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable, efficient, and sustainable ERP solutions. The role requires deep expertise in development tools, system integrations, data management, and reporting, along with a strong understanding of core business processes within finance, supply chain, production, and related areas.

In addition to hands-on development, this role contributes to system upgrades, release management, documentation, and continuous improvement efforts. The developer must also demonstrate strong communication skills to support effective collaboration and issue resolution across technical and non-technical audiences.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

ERP Development & Customization Develops custom features, extensions, and reports in D365 F&O using X++, C#, SQL, and related technologies in alignment with Microsoft's best practices. Customizes standard D365 F&O functionality to meet evolving business needs while ensuring system maintainability. Participates in solution design discussions and provide technical input on feasibility, scalability, and system performance. System Integration

Designs and implement integrations between D365 F&O and external systems or third-party applications using REST APIs, OData services, Logic Apps, and Power Platform tools. Ensures secure, reliable, and efficient data exchange across systems through synchronous and asynchronous methods. Data Management

Manages data migration activities including mapping, cleansing, and transformation. Configures data entities and support recurring data load and maintenance processes. Maintains data integrity and consistency through validation logic and exception handling. Testing & Quality Assurance

Develops and execute unit tests, integration tests, and regression testing scripts to ensure software quality and performance. Participates in defect triaging, root cause analysis, and resolution for both project and support-related issues. Release Management & CI/CD

Uses Azure DevOps and Lifecycle Services (LCS) to manage source code, deployment pipelines, and release schedules. Adheres to version control protocols and ensure deployment packages are compliant and tested. Troubleshooting & Support

Provides advanced technical support for application issues including bug fixes, performance tuning, and root cause analysis. Monitors system health and proactively identify and resolve system bottlenecks or failures. Reporting & Business Intelligence

Builds and maintains operational and analytical reports using SSRS, Power BI, or other business intelligence tools. Collaborates with business teams to translate reporting needs into actionable visualizations. Collaboration & Communication

Engages with business users to gather requirements, explain technical concepts, and provide status updates. Acts as a liaison between IT and business functions, ensuring clarity of scope and alignment of deliverables. Participates in sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives where applicable. Documentation & Standards

Creates and maintain technical documentation including solution design, configuration, and deployment guides. Promotes adherence to coding standards, architectural principles, and security protocols. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Education & Certifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field. Microsoft certifications related to Dynamics 365 development are preferred. Technical Expertise:

At least three years of hands-on experience with D365 F&O or Dynamics AX. Proficiency in X++, C#, .NET framework, SQL Server, and Azure DevOps. Experience with data entities, SSRS reports, Power Platform (Power Apps, Power BI, Power Automate). Familiarity with D365 F&O modules such as Finance, Supply Chain Management, and Production Control. key characteristics required

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to communicate effectively across both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusive development practices is a plus.
