Job Description
Clean, prepare and paint boilers and parts. Mix all paint products and perform functions with little or no supervision.
Requirements
FUNCTIONS TO BE PERFORMED:
Clean and inspect parts prior to painting Do all required masking on areas not to be painted Paint the boilers and all parts with the acceptable quality of finish Follow all procedures for a quality lasting paint surface Follow proper guidelines for storage and inventory of chemicals and paints Be able to mix and spray all products used Keep equipment clean and work area clean Perform routine maintenance on paint booth and paint equipment Perform other related duties as required PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
Able to communicate verbally and in writing Must be capable of following verbal and/or written instructions Capable of lifting up to 70 pounds alone and 100 pounds with assistance Able to work from ladders and scaffolding Able to bend, stoop, twist and squat Must be able to work in semi-awkward positions Working knowledge of and proper use of all safety equipment Must have knowledge of MSDS information as it pertains to chemicals and paints and know where they are located Ability to retain information with regard to chemicals and paint materials No allergic reactions to paint, dust, or other related paint materials Be able to determine the proper surface condition for acceptance of paint and prepare if required Must have full knowledge of quality requirements to produce acceptable finish paint Benefits
