The COMET contract provides overall management and implementation of ground systems capabilities, flight hardware processing, and launch operations at NASA's Kennedy Space Center (KSC) in Florida. These tasks support the International Space Station, Ground Systems Development and Operations, and the Space Launch System, Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle, and Launch Services programs.
The Project Manager will be responsible for managing cross-functional teams, coordinating software and hardware development projects, and ensuring timely and quality project delivery across the Command-and-Control Directorate. The role requires a deep understanding of both software and hardware processes, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills. We seek a skilled Senior Software and Hardware Project Manager to oversee the development and delivery of our products from concept to completion.
Responsibilities
Areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to:
Perform project management duties to oversee all aspects of projects, including budget forecasting and work estimation.
Utilize project management skills in managing project performance, scope, schedule, budget, risks, and change management.
Understand project scheduling development and resource loading to capture all work in the project lifecycle.
Assist in preparing project artifacts such as planning documents, status reports, and briefs.
Schedule, facilitate, and document project team meetings.
Participate in management planning to improve operations and restructure goals and plans.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
The candidate must possess a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in computer or system science, information technology, engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited institution, and at least ten (10) years of progressive project management experience in software and hardware development and operations environments. Additional relevant education may substitute part of the experience.

Job Requirements
Highly desired: PMP or other relevant project management certification.
Proven success in managing large, complex projects across multiple teams.
Expertise in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and tools (JIRA, MS Project).
Deep understanding of software development lifecycles and hardware manufacturing processes.
Experience in aerospace systems engineering and project management is highly desirable.
Exceptional leadership, communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
Experience with embedded systems, IoT, and integrated software-hardware products is highly desirable.
Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
Must coordinate work across multiple disciplines and be self-motivated.
Proof of U.S. Citizenship or Legal Permanent Resident/Green Card required if offered the position.
Physical Requirements
