The Venue Director II manages their assigned venue, ensuring profitability, achieving sales and operational goals, and providing top-tier customer service to hotel partners, clients, and team members. They cultivate a culture of achievement, support diversity, pursue continuous improvement, and nurture strong venue relationships.
Essential Functions :
Lead all event phases with a focus on outstanding customer service.
Oversee operations team for efficient floor activities, including equipment setup and strike.
Manage hiring, training, coaching, performance appraisal, and discipline of team members.
Resolve customer complaints and operational issues.
Review P&L statements to ensure profitability; manage expenses and implement cost controls.
Maintain inventory integrity, quality, security, and organization.
Stay informed on industry trends and innovations.
Build and maintain strong relationships with venue partners.
Represent Pinnacle Live at hotel meetings and client visits.
Ensure timely payment of payables and processing of invoices, complying with financial SOPs.
Support Sales Managers to maximize revenue during all sales cycle phases.
Train and develop team to uphold service standards and foster growth.
Utilize and improve company systems and technical skills.
Provide technical support for events as needed.
Delegate tasks effectively.
Follow safety protocols and SOPs.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience :
High School diploma or equivalent.
At least five years of management experience in AV or hospitality preferred.
Proven ability to align team members around common goals.
Excellent communication skills for building relationships internally and externally.
Required Skills & Knowledge :
Strong technical aptitude and knowledge of hardware/software.
Ability to plan and prioritize effectively.
Interpersonal and organizational skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Team-oriented professional appearance.
