Human Services Grants Analyst (Limited Term Appointment)

This position performs technical and professional duties in the development, analysis and monitoring of budget, grant, financial, and contract documents. The incumbent will have responsibilities in reviewing and monitoring health and human services grants and contracts issued by the Colorado Department of Human Services, Health Care Policy and Financing, the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment, and the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. In addition, the incumbent manages the competitive grant cycle for Broomfield’s non-profit agencies. The incumbent ensures that the department is in compliance with grant requirements and contract budget.
This position is a 2 year Limited Term Appointment.
Salary Range: $35.76-$43.70/hour

Grant and Contract Administration: Manage the full lifecycle of grant funding, monitoring compliance, and closing out grants. Collaborate with CCOB’s internal legal, grant administrator, and procurement teams to initiate contracts, complete Statements of Work (SOW), and ensure that all required documents are completed and updated, as necessary.
Financial Analysis: Perform detailed financial analysis and budgeting for grant-funded projects and programs, ensuring accurate and timely reporting. Reconcile expenditures to grant revenue including developing processes to remediate reconciling items from occurring and identifying solutions. Prepare historical trend analysis of actual expenditures by program.
Compliance Monitoring: Ensure adherence to grant regulations, organizational policies, and funding agency requirements. Conduct regular reviews and prepare documentation for internal and mandated external financial audits.
Data Analysis: Assist Department of Human Services Operations Division staff in collecting and reporting statistical data for various health and human services grants.
Non-Profit Grant Management: Provide administrative support for internal non-profit grants including preparing presentations to community partners, organizing the grant scoring committee, developing annual grant contracts for awarded grantees, and managing the quarterly reporting process.
Education Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in finance, business administration, or accounting.
Experience 3 years
experience required in grant administration, finance, budgeting, accounting, or related experience, including 1 year of grant and/or contract experience.
Experience in Human Services - preferred
Experience in non-profit sector - preferred
Experience with Microsoft Access databases - preferred
Years of related experience may be substituted for required education, however education cannot be substituted for the necessary work experience. Candidates must meet the minimum required years of work experience.
