Position Description As a Production Team Leader, you will be responsible for working within the framework of a team and performing the following activities: Lead by example, following all company policies, procedures and processes Develop, train and manage team member performance Create a cohesive team atmosphere and maintain professionalism with all team members Encourage open communication and embody our open door policy Determine production schedule and ensure product meets quality goals Coordinate material movement based on production plan Provide accurate feedback to leadership regarding employee performance (attendance/work) Coordinate labor coverage and assist area leadership in determining overtime requirements Utilize SAP and other systems to report production, scrap, downtime, problems and issues impacting department goals Monitor and analyze daily labor times, key performance indicators and other tracking reports including webapps Perform shop order documentation review Identify and elevate safety, quality, efficiency, and team member issues to area leadership Position Requirements This role is for 2nd and 3rd shifts. Experience leading teams and processes in a fast-paced environment High school diploma or equivalent Read, write, and speak in English Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. often Must be a team player and have good organizational skills Mechanically inclined with some familiarity of basic machinery, pumps, hydraulics, or other mechanically driven technology Ability to develop, correct, and maintain process improvements Experience with creating and editing Training Records, MIs, SOP, GAs, and other procedural documentation Ability to work in a diverse environment with a variety of experience, skill levels, and backgrounds Proficient in Microsoft Office and SAP or equivalent material management software Ability to do root cause analysis using industry-standard investigation formats Experience in leading meetings, project management, and formal presentations Resourceful in vendor sourcing and market research to implement cost-effective, data-driven solutions Delegation skills and sharing of company goals Preferred
Experience leading in a manufacturing environment Benefits The base compensation range for this role is $22 - $26 / hour for the position in California. Actual compensation packages depend on factors such as skill set, experience, certifications, and location. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires in California at the time of posting. Your recruiter can provide more details during the hiring process. Note that the compensation range may be modified in the future. Compensation includes wages or salary once earned and determinable. Additional bonuses, commissions, benefits, or other compensation forms may be modified at the company's discretion, law permitting.
