Beacon Hill Financial has partnered with a locally based construction company in the search for an
Accountant
with experience in the construction industry to join their team. This role involves full cycle accounting responsibilities, including processing AP and AR invoices, posting in the general ledger, and job costing. Prior experience with Sage products, especially Intacct, is required. This is a fully onsite position at their Washington, DC headquarters, requiring five days a week in the office. Essential Job Duties Manage all aspects of the accounting cycle for construction projects, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll. Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Prepare and review monthly financial statements, project cost reports, and variance analyses. Track and report on project budgets, expenditures, and profitability. Handle contract billings, lien waivers, and compliance documentation. Oversee job costing processes and ensure accurate billing based on project progress. Collaborate with project managers to monitor financial performance and resolve discrepancies. Assist with annual audits and provide required documentation. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.
