Your ability to translate industry trends into actionable strategies will be key to building trust with decision-makers and securing long-term success. This role involves serving as a Solution Engineer (pre-sales consultant) for Business Application workloads, including Sales & Service and Contact Centre. Collaborating with Solution Specialists, the Customer Success Unit, and partners, you will drive deal qualification, develop strategies, and inspire CxOs, business, and technical decision-makers. The focus will be on major Japanese global accounts in the automotive and manufacturing industries, primarily in the US market. This position is part of Japan's global team based in the United States. You will design solutions and deliver industry-aligned demonstrations, highlighting how AI advancements benefit organizations. You will also engage partners for co-selling and implementation considerations, and collaborate with engineering teams to leverage emerging technologies and support deal closure. This position offers flexibility to work from home, with a preference for candidates in Seattle, Washington, or within Pacific Standard Time. Required/Minimum Qualifications Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 3+ years of technical pre-sales or consulting experience OR Bachelor's Degree in the same fields AND 4+ years of experience OR 5+ years of relevant experience OR equivalent experience 4+ years' experience with cloud/hybrid/on-premises infrastructures, architecture, migrations, and technology management. Preferred Qualifications 7+ years of related experience in solution pre-sales for CRM or SaaS-based applications, including complex, dispersed teams. Experience with solution strategies, value-based selling, and competitive displacement. Strong stakeholder influence and communication skills across organizational levels. Deep understanding of business applications, cloud offerings, and industry-specific processes. Proficiency in business value selling methodologies and uncovering customer needs. Excellent presentation, collaboration, and customer engagement skills. Executive Summary Maintain expert knowledge in Dynamics 365 Sales, Customer Insights, Customer Service, Field Service, Contact Center, Power Platform, and AI solutions; lead technical engagements. Advance pipeline revenue by demonstrating solutions, addressing proof requirements, and securing design endorsements. Deliver customer-centric demonstrations based on technical expertise, building relationships with decision-makers. Address architecture considerations and handle competitive objections. Assist in formalizing customer proposals and align with deployment plans and KPIs. Lead discovery sessions to identify business challenges and win themes based on value. Build competitive knowledge, document patterns, and share insights to inform strategies. Shape strategic plans with local teams, leveraging Microsoft offerings and market trends. Develop responses to market threats, providing feedback to business groups. Scale Customer Engagements Leverage resources and engage product teams to resolve technical blockers. Lead complex technical wins, establishing engagement rules, coaching teams, and aligning technologies with standards. Identify and engage key technical decision-makers, building credibility through deep knowledge. Solution Design and Proof Demonstrate and oversee solution presentations, proof of concepts, and pilots, leveraging partner and customer teams. Adapt architecture patterns for complex requirements and develop reusable assets. Apply advanced sales methodologies to guide digital transformation discussions and challenge solutions. Leverage Partner Ecosystem Scale wins through partner collaboration, developing deep relationships and capacity. Monitor resources and identify new partnership opportunities to support strategy.
