Job Schedule This position is preferred to work in a hybrid schedule, which includes a combination of onsite at UCSD Campus and remote work, but can be open to fully remote candidates.

Job Description We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Lead Anaplan Model Builder to join our growing Health Sciences Business Analytics team. In this role, you will support our financial planning processes by designing, developing, and maintaining Anaplan models. You will collaborate with Health Sciences Finance and department stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into efficient and scalable solutions on the Anaplan platform.

Responsibilities

Partner with FP&A stakeholders to design and develop Anaplan models for budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

Build and maintain complex Anaplan models, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.

Develop automation routines and data integrations to streamline financial planning processes.

Troubleshoot and resolve Anaplan issues, ensuring smooth operation and data integrity.

Stay updated on Anaplan functionalities and best practices.

Manage stakeholder requirements and develop detailed implementation plans. Provide ongoing training and support to FP&A users.

Coordinate design, development, and testing activities.

Work with operational stakeholders to understand and prioritize business system needs.

Conduct stakeholder meetings, workshops, and communication sessions.

Create architectural designs to enhance resilience and business continuity.

Identify optimization opportunities and contribute to continuous improvement of Anaplan applications and processes.

Administer data/access security setup and controls, including automation.

Maintain strict process documentation standards.

Conduct system audits to ensure compliance with standards.

Employ agile methodology in software and system development.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or equivalent experience/training. At least five years of relevant experience, including IT systems, with three or more full cycle Anaplan implementations preferred.

Certification in Anaplan.

Good understanding of the software development lifecycle.

Experience in planning and project management techniques.

Proficient in SQL.

Ability to translate unstructured business problems into clear requirements.

Strong communication skills to gather needs and articulate solutions.

Understanding of FP&A concepts, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong collaboration skills.

Ability to work independently and in a team.

Employment is subject to a criminal background check.

Pay Transparency Annual full pay range: $108,100 - $204,900. The hourly equivalent is $51.77 - $98.13. Compensation factors include experience, skills, education, licensure, and organizational needs. The posted pay scale reflects the budgeted salary range, which may vary based on internal equity and other factors.
