Job Summary:

The OSP (Outside Plant) Construction Foreman is responsible for managing the daily operations of construction sites, ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. This role involves supervising construction crews, coordinating tasks, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Qualifications:

Experience

5+ years of experience in the telecommunications industry, particularly in construction and fiber installation. Proven experience in managing on-site construction activities. Expertise in operating HDD and Trenching Equipment and pulling trailers. Skilled in white lining & running lines. Technical Skills:

Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings (redlines). Knowledge of fiberoptic systems and construction methods. Project Management:

Strong skills in scheduling, resource allocation, and task coordination. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. Leadership and Communication:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with team members and stakeholders. Strong leadership abilities to guide and motivate the on-site workforce. Safety Compliance:

Ensure adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations. Conducting regular safety drills and maintaining safety records. Problem-Solving:

Ability to address on-site issues promptly and efficiently. Competence in developing innovative solutions to complex problems. Key Responsibilities:

Supervision:

Oversee and manage construction workers and subcontractors to ensure tasks are completed correctly and on time. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure adherence to safety and building regulations. Planning and Coordination

Plan daily work schedules and allocate resources to meet project timelines. Coordinate tasks according to priorities and project plans. Technical Oversight:

Review construction plans and specifications to maintain accuracy and quality of work. Supervise the use of machinery and equipment, ensuring they are used safely and efficiently. Training and Development:

Operate ALL equipment and train employees in the operation and maintenance of ALL equipment - Drill, Locator, Reclaimer, & Excavator. Train new team members in operational protocols and safety procedures Ensure that all team members are aware of and follow safety precautions and quality standards. Communication:

Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders about progress and any issues on site. Report on progress to project managers and other relevant parties. Problem Solving:

Address on-site issues promptly and make quick decisions to prevent project delays. Develop innovative solutions to complex problems that arise during construction. Record Keeping:

Maintain detailed records of construction processes, worker attendance, JHA's, Daily Reports, Bore Logs, and project costs etc.
