Job Summary:
The HEO Foreman for OSP Construction is responsible for supervising crews operating heavy equipment in the installation and maintenance of outside plant telecommunications infrastructure. This includes overseeing trenching, boring, conduit placement, and backfilling operations to support fiber optic and copper cable deployment.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate daily activities of heavy equipment operators and laborers on OSP construction sites. Operate and oversee the use of trenchers, excavators, backhoes, and directional drills. Ensure safe and efficient installation of underground and aerial conduit systems for fiber and copper networks. Interpret construction drawings, utility locates, and project specifications. Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and project requirements. Communicate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure timely project execution. Train and mentor crew members on equipment operation and safety protocols. Maintain accurate records of work performed, equipment usage, and crew hours. Troubleshoot field issues and implement corrective actions as needed. Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in heavy equipment operation preferred. 5+ years of experience in heavy equipment operation, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. Experience in OSP construction, including trenching, boring, and conduit installation. Valid CDL and heavy equipment certifications. Strong understanding of OSHA and telecommunications safety standards. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and utility maps. Skills:

Outdoor fieldwork in various weather conditions. May involve travel to multiple job sites. Requires physical activity including lifting, climbing, and operating machinery. Record Keeping:
Maintain detailed records of construction processes, worker attendance, JHA's, Daily Reports, Bore Logs, and project costs etc.
