Patient Account Representative I-Medicine

Performs functions such as routine charge entry for simple accounts; sorting mail; researching missing insurance information; photocopying and/or pulling records; and other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Enters charges accurately and timely. Ensures charges are balanced and reconciled within department guidelines.
2. Opens and distributes correspondence daily.
3. Gathers required data elements for charge entry positions.
4. Completes mandatory employee health, workers compensation, HR processes, and other training and requirements in required timeframe to insure compliance with all FPI rules and regulations.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred One year of office experience; billing experience preferred Entry level computer skills Accurate data entry skills
Total Rewards The referenced base salary range represents the low and high end of University of Maryland's Faculty Physician's Inc. salary range for this position. Some candidates will not be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographic location, skills, work experience, market conditions, internal equity, responsibility factor and span of control, education/training and other qualifications.
