Flowserve's Flow Control Division is seeking a technically proficient and commercially astute Application Engineer to support our control valve portfolio within the Commercial Operations team. In this role, you will work closely with customers, sales teams, and internal stakeholders to develop technically sound and commercially competitive proposals. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of flow control applications and will serve as a key customer-facing technical expert. Responsibilities include: Acting as the technical liaison between sales, engineering, and customers for control valve applications, ensuring alignment on specifications, performance expectations, and commercial terms. Analyzing customer requests and specifications to define scope of supply and ensure compliance with all applicable technical and commercial requirements. Developing and delivering high-quality, technically accurate proposals for control valve applications that align with customer specifications and commercial strategy. Applying control valve sizing methodologies and principles of fluid dynamics to recommend optimal product solutions. Using internal tools and software to manage proposals, perform pricing analysis, and track proposal status throughout the opportunity lifecycle. Collaborating cross-functionally with supply chain, operations, planning, finance, and legal to ensure accurate, timely, and feasible bid submissions. Maintaining proposal documentation and ensuring timely updates within workload management platforms. Supporting continuous improvement initiatives in quotation processes, tools, and application engineering best practices. Preferred qualifications include: 35 years of experience in application engineering, technical sales, or commercial support within the flow control, valve, or industrial equipment sector. BS or BA Degree in relevant field. Effective analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively convey technical content to internal and external stakeholders. Strong organization and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple fast-moving projects under tight deadlines.
