We're looking for a results-driven Receiving Lead to join our Jersey City Receiving team and drive excellence in our receiving operations. In this pivotal role, you'll ensure accurate processing of incoming collectibles while leading a high-performing team. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced warehouse lead who enjoys hands-on work and wants to make a direct impact on the department's success and team culture.
You'll report to the Receiving Supervisor and work from our Jersey City, NJ facility.
What You'll Do:
Process and organize incoming mail by service type with precision and efficiency Match, count, and verify items against documentation to ensure accuracy Validate service types against payment records and confirm eligibility requirements Enter item data into systems and generate appropriate processing stickers Collaborate with Sales on special pricing arrangements and promotional orders Foster a positive, collaborative team environment that inspires peak performance Establish clear, measurable team objectives and communicate expectations effectively Oversee daily operations while providing guidance and support to team members Track team performance metrics and prepare regular progress reports Provide ongoing coaching and identify professional development opportunities Address team feedback promptly and resolve conflicts or escalate issues as needed Recognize outstanding performance and implement reward programs Plan and coordinate team-building initiatives to strengthen collaboration Who You Are:
Minimum 2 years of proven team leadership or supervisory experience Strong understanding of performance metrics and data-driven management Proficiency in Google Workspace, particularly Sheets or equivalent (Excel) Excellent verbal and written communication abilities Outstanding organizational and time management capabilities Strong decision-making skills with ability to work independently Physical Requirements:
Bending and Twisting: Bending neck/waist, twisting neck/waist, and squatting. Computer Use: Typing, mouse work, and sitting and looking at a computer potentially for long periods of time. Hand Use: Regular hand use for various tasks. Hearing Requirements: Ability to hear alarms, signals, and verbal instructions. Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift, carry, and move materials up 50 lbs. Receiving and Inspecting Submissions: Ability to receive, and in some departments inspect, submissions. Ability to use a sharp blade and retrieve submissions from packaging. Sitting or Standing: Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
Hourly Rate:
The reasonable estimated hourly rate for this position is $28. Actual compensation varies based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including location, job level, prior experience and skill set.
