Summary
The Encompass Administrator will be responsible for the configuration, management, and ongoing support of the Encompass Loan Origination System. This role requires a combination of technical and business knowledge, as the administrator will work closely with stakeholders to optimize the platform and ensure it meets the needs of the organization's banking operations. The ideal candidate has a strong background in Encompass administration within a mortgage lending environment and can act as the bridge between IT and operations.
Specific Job Functions Encompass Configuration & Customization:
Serve as the primary administrator for the Encompass LOS platform, including configuration, user roles, security settings, and access controls. Manage and maintain custom input forms, business rules, field triggers, persona-based workflows, and custom reports. Collaborate with mortgage loan officers, processors, underwriters, and compliance teams to gather requirements and enhance system functionality.
System Maintenance & Upgrades:
Maintain system updates, testing environments, and implement new features or version releases from ICE Mortgage Technology. Monitor system performance, identify improvement opportunities, and implement optimizations to streamline mortgage workflows. Maintain system documentation and keep track of any changes made to configurations and workflows.
Integration Management:
Work with internal teams to manage integrations with third-party systems, such as loan servicing systems, document management tools, and core banking platforms. Ensure seamless data flow between Encompass and other systems while maintaining data integrity and security.
Reporting & Analytics:
Design, build, and maintain reports and dashboards within Encompass to support business decision-making. Provide key performance indicators (KPIs) and data analysis for management, ensuring that key business metrics are easily accessible and actionable. Work with business units to customize reporting capabilities and ensure data accuracy.
Project Management & Continuous Improvement:
Lead or support project teams for new product implementations, process improvements, or system enhancements related to Encompass. Evaluate the effectiveness of existing processes and recommend improvements based on feedback and system performance data. Work with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and translate them into actionable system configurations.
Compliance & Risk Management:
Ensure that the Encompass system complies with relevant banking regulations, data privacy laws, and internal security policies. Participate in audits and reviews of system usage, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Minimum Job Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, a related field, or equivalent work experience. Experience:
4 - 7 years of hands-on experience as an Encompass Administrator within a mortgage or lending environment. Strong understanding of Encompass features such as Milestone Templates, Input Forms, Field Rules, Mavent Compliance, and Secondary Setup. Familiarity with loan origination workflows and mortgage lifecycle (origination, processing, underwriting, closing, post-closing). Experience with Encompass SDK, API, or Encompass Partner Connect integrations is a plus.2+ years of experience administering or configuring Encompass or Salesforce in a financial services or banking environment. Strong understanding of banking operations, particularly in lending or mortgage lending.
Skills:
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. ICE Mortgage Technology certifications (e.g., Encompass Admin Essentials) are a strong plus. Experience with Encompass integrations (e.g., Optimal Blue, Velocify, Blend, SimpleNexus, or similar). Basic knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, or Encompass SDK for custom development. Knowledge of mortgage compliance rules and investor guidelines (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA/VA). Strong communication skills to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
