Postdoctoral Research Associate (Multiple Openings)

Texas A&M University is seeking Postdoctoral Research Associates for the Cyclotron Institute. The job is located in College Station, Texas, and is a full-time staff position. The Postdoctoral Research Associates will work with research groups at the Cyclotron Institute to carry out research in support of the Department of Energy Center of Excellence research grant. These positions will act as a leader over at least one research project, as well as supervise graduate and undergraduate students on their individual research projects. Opportunities to contribute include: Act as leader of at least one research project, including experiment conception, preparation and setup, data collection, and data analysis and interpretation. Provide support to collaborative research efforts, including experiment design and setup, taking on experiments, and participating in discussions related to data analysis and interpretation. Supervise graduate and undergraduate students on their individual research projects and perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications include: Appropriate PhD PhD in nuclear physics or nuclear chemistry or a closely aligned field. Ability to acquire new working knowledge quickly. Great problem solving skills and motivation to learn. Compensation will be commensurate based on the selected candidate's education and experience. Due to this position's salary having all or a portion of it being funded by grants or contracts, the continuing salary and overall employment is contingent upon availability of these funds in the future.
