Sr. Human Resources Generalist

Reporting to the Employee Relations Manager, the Sr. Human Resources Generalist handles complex workplace employee relations cases and serves as the experienced lead of the HR Generalist team by providing expertise, support, and guidance to other members of the team to address employee relations, investigations, and general HR matters. The incumbent will leverage their proven expertise in coaching, conflict resolution, and effective communication methodologies to drive solutions to employee relations issues and will conduct investigations and write summary investigative findings. Prevention is a key focus for this role with analyzing trends and developing and implementing solutions and training to support successful employee performance outcomes. What You'll Be Doing
Serves as the experienced, lead of the HR Generalist team; troubleshoots, analyzes, and provides expertise and guidance on ER and HR matters to other members of the team. Interprets and applies applicable employment law, policies, and regulations accurately and consistently and helps management and staff with understanding for compliance. Offers HR assistance to management and staff with employee relations, coaching, and employee development. Ensures workplace issues are handled effectively and expediently to remove barriers to successful job performance and foster a positive work environment. Investigates claims, conducts interviews, analyzes data, develops findings, proposes remedial or disciplinary actions, and drafts investigation reports. Participates in the administration of the performance management program; supports the administration of the 90 day and annual performance appraisal cycles in the ADP system. Works with subject matter experts regarding HR programs, policies and procedures including benefits, leaves of absences, reasonable accommodations, etc. Collaborates with management to identify training needs, tailors programs to the needs of the intended audience. Recommends, develops, and partners to deliver training and development courses. Leverages data from case management and HR systems to analyze trends to inform and produce strategic recommendations and proactive solutions; recommends approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed. Provide investigation case and issue trend data and actionable feedback to reduce overall risk in the organization. Collaborates with the HR management on strategic HR initiatives, including policy creation. Ensures compliance with policies, federal, state, and local employment laws, and regulations to minimize legal risk and exposure to Kidango. Maintains and administers HRIS (ADP) for employee data updates and compliance tracking. Performs other duties as assigned. Preferred Qualifications
BA degree in HR, Business Administration, or related degree is required. 3+ years of employee relations or employment law experience. 2+ years of progressive experience in HR within two or more areas in Benefits, Compensation, Recruitment, Learning and Development, or general HR. Proven knowledge and ability to apply coaching, conflict resolution, communication, management models and techniques. Strong investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Prior HR experience in the early childhood education field is highly desirable. Ability to provide leadership, accept responsibility, work independently, and set own goals in a professional manner. Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion. Fluency in Spanish is a plus. Must be able to work Kidango's core work hours and work schedule as assigned by manager.
