We are currently seeking a DB2 Database Administration Support to join our team in Salem, Oregon (US-OR), United States (US). Supports databases in various environments. Installs, configures, plans, and maintains systems. Develops and administers company reporting and data extraction requirements. Designs and implements database security policies and procedures, ensures accuracy and availability of data and conducts performance tuning on relational databases and servers. Evaluates new database technologies and tools, sets database system and programming standards, applies database technology to business problems and manages the development and production database environments with emphasis on security, availability, and performance. Skilled in managing DB2 databases on multiple platforms and environments.

Skilled and experienced in managing and maintaining database technologies on enterprise class IBM pSeries systems running AIX.

Familiarity with IBM Power Systems, including AIX or Linux operating systems.

Understanding of virtualization technologies like PowerVM.

Skills in optimizing databases for performance on Power Systems.

Experience with tools for monitoring and troubleshooting performance issues.

Proficiency in scripting languages like Shell, Python, or Perl for automating tasks.

Experience with automation tools to streamline database management.

Skills in integrating DB2 databases with other systems.

Experience in migrating databases to or from Power Systems.

Skill and experience managing and maintaining WebLogic and/or WebSphere servers.

Skilled in supporting a standardized AIX environment in an enterprise setting is desirable.

Strong technical analytical skills in a data-center environment Required Skills: Minimum 8 years experience in a DB2 environment Minimum 5 years experience in Database Administration-Database Development in an AS/400 DB2 Minimum 5 years experience in Database Administration-DBA-Core Oracle DBA Minimum 5 years experience in Database Administration-DBA-IBM-DB2/400 Minimum 5 years experience in Database Administration-Performance Tuning Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this remote role is 75k to 130k. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate's actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
