Howard County Government is seeking outstanding individuals to join their team. This position offers competitive compensation and benefits including medical, retirement, and wellness programs. The role involves planning, directing, and coordinating the day-to-day fiscal operations of the Department of Community Resources and Services and the work of the Office of Fiscal Services. The starting salary hiring range is $40.44 - $44.19 hourly and $84,113 - $91,901 annually. The position requires a degree in accounting or finance, certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Public Financial Officer (CPFO), knowledge of county budget processes, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent customer service skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP, Cognos, database management, and spreadsheet applications. The physical demands include standing, sitting, talking, hearing, walking, and using hands to finger, handle, or feel. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
