This role involves delivering exceptional acupuncture and wellness services with an emphasis on client care, safety, and professionalism. Key responsibilities include thorough preparation for appointments, providing personalized treatments tailored to client needs, and maintaining strict confidentiality. The position requires proficiency in equipment use and maintenance, adherence to safety and infection control guidelines, and active participation in promoting wellness programs through education and outreach. Accurate documentation and reporting are essential, along with engagement in off-site services, meetings, and events as needed. Responsibilities

Service Preparation : Using a problem-solving approach to plan and execute services, ensuring punctuality, room readiness, and adequate supply stock. Responding effectively to emergencies and coordinating substitute therapists as needed.

Client-Centered Care : Providing acupuncture services tailored to the physical, psychosocial, cultural, and age-specific needs of clients. Maintaining confidentiality and exceeding customer expectations.

Equipment and Supply Management : Ensuring proper setup, use, and maintenance of all equipment and supplies following industry standards and guidelines.

Safety and Infection Control : Upholding safety measures by cleaning and disinfecting equipment regularly and avoiding services that may harm clients.

Education and Promotion : Informing clients about contraindications, promoting spa programs, and participating in public speaking, networking, and demonstrations.

Recordkeeping and Reporting : Accurately completing client forms, submitting payroll receipts, and maintaining communication logs.

Qualifications

The following, or equivalents, are the minimum requirements to perform the essential functions of this position: Education/formal training/certification/experience: High school diploma and have graduated from an accredited Acupuncture program. Acupuncturist must have a current North Carolina State License. BS in a related field preferred. Additional Skills: The applicant must possess excellent interpersonal skills. He/she must have the ability to display positive interaction and communication skills in working with a variety of clients. Must have the knowledge of the use of acupuncture serving a variety of clients. Working Conditions: Applicant must be available for Saturday rotations of the schedule, and be willing to substitute for other therapists on occasion. Applicant must be willing to work off-site. Applicant must be willing to promote and market the program by providing demonstrations, lectures, and network with corporations and to special interest groups. Physical Requirements: Ability to demonstrate a variety of physical moves such as: pushing, pulling, bending, and lifting. Physically, must be able to perform several acupuncture treatments within one day.
