What You'll Do

In this role, you'll work closely with the Accounting Manager, and other members of the Accounting team to ensure Flatirons Monthly Close process and reporting are completed timely and

in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS standards. Youll also:

Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations for various areas including cash, accounts payable, and expense accruals.

Assist with accounting activities for Payroll including the preparation and booking of journal entries and monthly account reconciliations

Assist with process improvement and automation efforts to streamline Accounting operations and improve the quality of closes, and internal controls

Ad Hoc financial reporting projects

Who You Are

You're a kind, passionate and collaborative problem-solver who values the opportunity to think beyond the way things are. In addition, youre detail oriented with 2-3 years of experience in accounting. In addition:

You have a bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance

You have strong Microsoft Excel skills (i.e. vlookups, sumifs, pivot tables, subtotals, etc)

You have the ability to manage a high volume of transactions accurately and effectively

You have superior organizational skills and attention to detail

You have excellent interpersonal, writing and communication skills

You are able to constantly prioritize and to change or adapt to any situation

You are a goal-oriented, logical, quick-learner with experience working in a tech-enabled company

You are interested and excited to understand and build systems and processes

You are adaptable and have a desire to learn and develop your skill set to take on more responsibility

Extra credit

You have experience with Netsuite

You are fluent in Japanese or German
