Program Coordinator
The Program Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the administrative and operational functions of the Theatre Department within the College of Arts and Sciences. This position serves as a linchpin for department logistics, budget tracking, student support, and public programming, including theatrical productions. By ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and meaningful engagement with students, faculty, and audiences, the Program Coordinator helps advance Whitworth University's mission to provide high-quality, Christ-centered education and joins a community of belonging where creativity and learning thrive. Core Responsibilities
Administrative Support | 20% Support department chairs with academic scheduling, faculty load reporting, and website/catalog updates. Assist with department publications, program reviews, and accreditation reporting. Coordinate logistics for departmental lectures, events, and guest visitsincluding contracts, travel, and promotion. Facilitate faculty job searches and onboarding for new and returning faculty. Communicate program information to students through flyers, Blackboard, Canvas, and emails. Maintain meeting minutes and departmental communication archives. Student Supervision and Fiscal Support | 25% Hire, train, and supervise student workers; manage payroll documentation and timecard approvals. Monitor and reconcile department budgets; provide purchasing guidance. Submit purchase orders, reimbursements, and monthly credit card reports. General Office Support | 20% Serve as liaison to university support services such as the registrar, bookstore, academic affairs, and IT. Maintain faculty office and classroom needs, equipment, and supply inventory. Coordinate facility-related requests and serve as building monitor. Order textbooks and academic materials in collaboration with the library and publishers. Theatre Production & Box Office Coordination | 30% Coordinate production logistics, including rights acquisition and contract compliance. Collaborate on marketing with University Marketing and Communications and student interns. Oversee ticketing for performances through online vendors and on-site box office. Assist with program creation and front-of-house materials for productions. Other Responsibilities | 5% Collaborate with other College of Arts and Sciences program coordinators on shared initiatives. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications and Core Competencies

Effectively hires, trains, and mentors student employees, creating a supportive and professional learning environment aligned with university values. Utilizes institutional systems (e.g., Microsoft 365, scheduling platforms, online ticketing) to streamline operations and improve departmental efficiency. Preferred Experience in higher education. Experience working with budgets, event coordination, or arts programming. Theatre experience. Bachelors degree. Other Details
