Reporting into the Production Supervisor, the Shipping Lead will be based out of New Castle, DE and will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all shipping activities within the warehouse or distribution center. This role involves managing a team of shipping associates, ensuring the accurate and timely shipment of products, and maintaining a well-organized shipping department. Responsibilities
Monitor and manage the performance of shipping staff, providing guidance and support as needed. Conduct regular quality checks on outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy and compliance with shipping regulations. Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations. Monitor and report on inventory shortages, damages, or discrepancies. Participates in physical inventories of warehouse and/or manufacturing area. Ensure accurate picking, packing, and labeling of outgoing orders. Perform other shipping and receiving duties as assigned. Required Experience
Minimum of high school diploma or G.E.D. Read and write English, follow verbal and written instructions, and use simple math. Strong knowledge of shipping processes, carriers, and regulations. Excellent communication, organizational and multitasking skills. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and shipping software. Preferred Experience
Supply Chain Management or a related field is a plus. At least 1 year in a leadership/supervisory position. Location: New Castle, DE
