The Condado Collection is a collection of hospitality properties in Puerto Rico, from classic and modern luxury hotels to restaurants and entertainment. Serafina San Juan is a global brand with 35 Italian restaurants, and a strong presence in New York City. Serafina has been offering a modern twist to Puerto Rican cuisine since 2015. Our goal is to create experiences and inspire journeys not only for our guests but also for our workforce. Receive guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables. Manage the seating plan and reservation system to ensure accurate table assignments and efficient turnover. Handle guest inquiries, requests, and special seating preferences with tact and efficiency. Provide accurate wait times and manage waiting lists. Communicate effectively with guests to manage expectations and enhance their dining experience. Communicate effectively with waiters, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth operation of the dining room. Work collaboratively with waiters, waiter assistants, and other restaurant staff to ensure seamless service. Support the overall team effort by assisting with various tasks as needed. Maintain a professional and courteous attitude. Assist with reservation management, updating guest profiles, and seating organization. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the host/hostess station and lobby area. Help with answering phone calls and guest inquiries about reservations and food options. Maintain the restaurant's standards of excellence in service and hospitality. Ensure that the uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets. Follow all company safety policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to the supervisor; and complete safety training and certifications. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support the team in achieving common goals, and listen to and appropriately respond to the concerns of other employees. Ensure compliance with expectations and quality standards. Perform other tasks assigned by the manager. Qualifications
Hospitality oriented Knowledge of service steps Previous experience as a host/hostess in a similar restaurant environment preferred Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure Knowledge of reservation systems and basic computer proficiency Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Ability to stand, walk, and carry objects for extended periods Full bilingual (Spanish/English) The Condado Collection is an equal opportunity employer.
