The Condado Collection is a collection of hospitality properties in Puerto Rico, from classic and modern luxury hotels to restaurants and entertainment. STK San Juan is a world-renowned restaurant with a unique concept that fuses modern "steakhouse" with an elegant lounge in a culinary experience with the quality of a traditional "steakhouse." Welcome guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
Manage the seating plan and reservation system to ensure accurate table assignment and efficient turnover.
Handle guest inquiries, requests, and special preferences with tact and efficiency.
Provide accurate wait times and monitor waiting lists.
Communicate effectively with guests to manage their expectations and enhance their dining experience.
Assist in coordination with waiters, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth operation of the dining room.
Collaborate closely with waiters, bussers, and other restaurant employees to ensure seamless service.
Support the team in general by assisting with various tasks as needed.
Maintain a professional and courteous attitude.
Help manage reservations, update guest profiles, and organize seating arrangements.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the host/hostess station and lobby area.
Assist in handling phone calls and guest inquiries regarding reservations and dining options.
Maintain the restaurant's standards of excellence in service and hospitality.
Follow all company and safety policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
Complete safety training and certifications.
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support the team to achieve common goals.
Ensure compliance with expectations and quality standards.
Ensure that the uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications
Hospitality-oriented.
This position requires exceptional interpersonal skills, a polished appearance, and the ability to handle guest interactions with professionalism and grace.
Previous experience as a host/hostess in a fine dining or upscale restaurant environment is preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure.
Knowledge of reservation systems and basic computer proficiency.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Fully bilingual (Spanish/English).
