Nurse Manager
The Nurse Manager is responsible for the organization and administration of the nursing services on the Transitional Care Unit and Rehabilitation Services at Bayonne Medical Center. He/she has administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability for functions and activities of the nursing, PT, OT, SLP, and ancillary staff. The Nurse Manager shall ensure that the total needs of the residents are met and shall keep the Administrator and Medical Director informed of the activities of the nursing services. Working conditions/hazards include exposure to communicable diseases, blood and blood products, illness, confused and/or combative patients, hazardous chemicals, stressful situations, X-rays, sharp instruments and needles, and electricity. Physical requirements include standing, walking, light lifting, and pushing carts. Reports to the Vice President, Patient Care Services. Contacts include physicians, department heads, hospital staff, patients, families, and visitors. Supervised by the licensed nursing home administrator.
