Job Classification: Administrative and Office Services, Student Department: Honors Program Hiring Managers: Kerry Parker, Mary Ziehe Contact: Kerry_Parker@baylor.edu, Mary_Ziehe@baylor.edu Work Schedule: 4-10 hours per week (flexible) between the hours of 8am-4:30pm Desired Length of Employment: Fall/Spring Pay Rate: $8.50 Job Description: The Honors Program is seeking enthusiastic, hardworking, and detail-oriented students to assist the administrative associate, faculty, and other staff in the smooth running of the department. Regular tasks may include things like greeting students and other visitors to the offices; collecting, sorting, and distributing mail; maintaining organization in the workroom and lounge areas; help with recruiting; and assisting faculty and staff with tasks related to their research, advising, and teaching. Applicants must have knowledge of Word, Excel, the internet, scanners, and copiers; some skill with design tools like Canva is a plus. Applicants must be able to file, take telephone messages, and do some light lifting. Applicants must be able to work independently; communicate well with faculty, students, and guests; and proactively accomplish their tasks in a timely and correct fashion with little need for oversight. Must be a current Honors College student to apply (not limited to Honors Program only). Responsibilities: Provide general office assistance and support Greet clients and visitors with excellent customer service; answer inquiries and provide information Maintain files and reports and ensure confidentiality of information Assist with various projects, activities, or tasks as needed Ability to comply with University policies Maintain regular and punctual attendance Employer: Baylor University Work Location: Draper 154 and/or Alexander GL 30
