You will manage conventional ordnance stockpile management and ammunition sentencing policy establishment and dissemination. You will manage the accuracy of ammunition transactional reporting and stock record during the in-service phase of its life cycle. You will manage the demilitarization and disposal segments of the ammunition supply chain. You will review the directives to all Naval activities and personnel regarding the demolition and disposal of Navy non-nuclear ordnance. You will participate in the development of supply chain assessment indicators to identify efficiency opportunities in the execution of ammunition logistics management throughout its life cycle. You will serve as Deputy Director to provide guidance and supervision to first/second line of subordinate logistics management, supply systems analysts, and other employees by providing technical and/or administrative oversight. You will manage the promulgation of ordnance safety management directives, i.e. notices of ammunition reclassification (NAR), ammunition information notices (AIN), and overhead fire notifications (OHF). Must be a US Citizen. Must be determined suitable for federal employment. Must participate in the direct deposit pay program. New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check. Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326. Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service. You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes. This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. This is a Mission Essential position. Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. Your resume must demonstrate one year of Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying an expert knowledge of guidelines, regulations, and directives from DoD, SECNAV, OPNAV, and NAVSUP pertaining to supply chain management, logistics management, inventory accuracy, transactional reporting, life cycle support, load planning, and inventory management of conventional ordnance.
