The Senior Manager-Central Billing Office (CBO) is responsible for leadership and supervision of the day-to-day operations involving billing, third party/patient collections follow-up and ensuring the overall accuracy of the accounts receivable (AR) balances for each facility. This position will work independently to resolve complex payer and operational issues to assist in the overall improvement of the daily operations necessary for a successful Centralized Business Office specializing in healthcare servicing multiple facilities. Roles and Responsibilities: Provide leadership and oversight to teams, including CBO Managers, while ensuring the maintenance of teams at designated locations in Tennessee and remote. Oversees billing, collections, and payment posting operations across multiple facilities, ensuring compliance and efficiency for all payer types. Monitor accounts receivable for payer and operational issues, independently resolving concerns by collaborating with CBO leaders, facility staff, and executive leadership as necessary. Supervise a team of highly engaged members by overseeing hiring, orientation, performance assessment and management, motivation, training, scheduling, and coaching to achieve departmental goals and ensure efficient and effective operations Provides professional and technical support to CBO staff. Continuously assess and implement improvements to billing workflows, focusing on efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to healthcare billing best practices. Set clear expectations, monitor KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and drive accountability for performance and areas of opportunity. Promptly address inquiries from insurance carriers, family members, and patients regarding account balance concerns Lead training initiatives for staff to ensure team members are well-versed in billing procedures, healthcare regulations, and new system updates. Foster an environment of continuous learning and development. Assign tasks to staff through patient accounting/billing software as needed. Act as administrator for payer website/log in access. Works with facility CFO's in answering questions and resolving issues. Lead the Accounts Receivable month-end closing process. Education/Experience/Skill Requirements: Bachelor's degree required, preferably in business or accounting. Four or more years of computerized medical billing experience. Two or more years of supervision/management experience in healthcare setting. Advanced knowledge of UB04 and HCFA1500 forms, CPT and ICD-10 coding Working knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid guidelines preferred. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. This position is on-site/hybrid at the Company's headquarters in Franklin, TN.
