Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (LMMFC) Chelmsford, MA is seeking a motivated and driven Quality Engineer to support our manufacturing operations. Quality Engineers at LMMFC act as an integrated member of the design and production teams developing and reviewing quality standards, methods, work instructions and procedures for the inspection of manufactured and procured products. To ensure our customer receives the highest level of Quality, our Quality Engineers develop, review/approve documentation related to internal and external manufacturing processes to ensure requirements are fulfilled. Duties include but are not limited to: Reviews documentation related to internal and external manufacturing processes to ensure quality products are delivered to the customer. Ability to analyze and resolve process issues varying from basic to very complex. Attends and leads program corrective action meeting, identifies trends, assists in problem resolution, and ensures responsible parties meet commitments. Participates as an active member of Material Review Boards and Failure Review Boards which includes the disposition of non-conforming hardware, identifying hardware containment requirements, identifying appropriate root cause and corrective action is taken to prevent recurrence. Performs assessments and audits on processes and procedures to ensure compliance to specifications, engineering drawings, procedures, and ISO 9001 & AS9100 standards. Interfaces with customers, suppliers, and program personnel on quality related issues. Utilizes lean initiatives to reduce waste and maintain continuous improvement. Makes the final decision on acceptability of product. MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance. A company-sponsored interim secret is required to start. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering or a related engineering or technical (STEM) discipline from an accredited college or university. Experience with Root Cause Analysis tools Understanding of Lean Six Sigma tools and processes. US Citizen with ability to obtain a security clearance. Desired Skills: Ability to organize and track multiple activities and prioritize task based on importance. Ability to review, interpret and apply specifications to determine compliance with requirements. Effective interpersonal skills, including team building and collaboration. Demonstrated problem solving skills. Basic understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance). Lockheed Martin is an equal opportunity employer.
