Engineering Technician 4

We support customers with Centers of Excellence in Washington DC, Huntsville, AL and Burlington, MA with an additional 36 locations across the U.S. Astrion has an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Technician 4 for the RTC Test and Engineering Services (RTES) Contract supporting the Army Division. Required Qualifications/Skills: 7 years of applicable experience supporting engineering, design, or testing of hardware in the appropriate area of specialization; or 3 years of applicable college/vocational/military/technical school and 4 years of applicable experience in the assigned specialty area: Commercial and Industrial Electrical. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Government security clearance (Must be a U.S. Citizen). Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening. Must have a valid driver's license. Desired Qualifications/Skills: Good leadership & people skills. Experience in applying Operational Procedures, Policies, and SOP's. Ability to manage personnel, effectively utilize employee skillsets, and make sure they align with test events. Responsibilities: The technician will be required to provide electrician support for operations in, and around, test stands and fixtures. Operate and maintain equipment for test support. Work as a team member to plan, setup, install, troubleshoot/maintain range electrical and fiber lines. Support senior engineers and technicians during test operations on local test ranges as well as CONUS travel missions on other DoD test ranges.
