Intensive Mental Health Technician- Evening Shift
As an Intensive Mental Health Technician (IMHT) for Swope Health Services residential department, you will be part of a team that helps members of our community that need it the most. An Intensive Mental Health technician champions recovery efforts by implementing activities guided by individual treatment plans, education, and monitoring of daily living activities. You will help clients treat dependence with dignity, respect, and empowering of each individual. If you have a passion for helping others, this is the role for you. In your role you will: Champion recovery efforts for individuals with severe and persistent mental illness, chemical dependency and/or co-occurring disorders in a manner that supports the dignity, respect, self-determination, and empowerment of each individual. Assist in implementation of individual treatment plan activities that promote independent living to include wellness activities, cooking and nutrition, transportation, budgeting, and household management. Assist with planning, coordination, and scheduling of activities that promote recovery, symptom management, and community engagement. Monitor safety, cleanliness, and condition of the facility. Document observations and interventions daily, including medication administration as necessary. Provide protective oversight and follow crisis intervention protocol. Must have a valid driver's license and a working vehicle for daily use. Must be able to work a schedule of 3:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. Successful candidates will have: High school diploma or GED required. Associate Degree or two years of college in Social Work, Nursing, Psychology, or related field preferred. Two years experience working with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness or in the mental health field preferred. Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and current automobile insurance.
