Fiscal Specialist
Prince William County Government is seeking a talented, self-motivated individual interested in furthering a career in public administration in a dynamic, team-oriented, life-balanced workplace. About This Role: Performs administrative and office support activities for the Business Management Group using two primary systems: land management and oracle-based financial. Combining knowledge of standard financial procedures, the Fiscal Specialist position offers the opportunity to perform reconciliations of cash and cash equivalents along with initiating purchase orders, processing invoices, creating journal entries, and more. Requirements for this position include the ability to use Microsoft Office software, independently conduct research, maintain organized records and communicate clearly both verbally and in writing. Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma or G.E.D and 3 years of related experience in accounting related activities. Preferences: 3 - 4 years related experience in accounting related activities. Work Schedule: 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday with the ability to telework one day a week after the initial probation period. This is a telework eligible position that may revert to in-office scheduling if business needs change. Special Requirements: Include physical demands (i.e., lifting), certifications, licenses, background and/or credit checks, physical exams, minimum age requirements, etc. Starting Salary Range: $28.32 - $39.16 Prince William County Government offers medical plans with corresponding pharmacy and basic vision coverage, as well as dental plans and a separate vision plan. Full-time and part-time Prince William County Government employees are eligible to participate in our plans; however, the level and cost of benefits depends on the classification of the position.
