Campus Maintenance Assistant
Key Responsibilities: Assist in the collection and disposal of campus waste, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment. Operate mowers and other equipment to maintain the lawns and grassy areas of the campus. Help with the planting of flowers, shrubs, and other greenery to enhance the beauty of the college grounds. Ensure that plants and grass areas are watered appropriately to maintain their health and appearance. Provide assistance with setting up, maintaining, and breaking down equipment for athletic events as needed. Qualifications: Must be a current student at Wheaton College. Ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, bending, and working in various weather conditions. Strong commitment to punctuality and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings or weekends, to accommodate class schedules and special events. Students must be able to work an average of 10 hours per week during the semester. Flexible hours are available to accommodate student class schedules. Opportunities for both part-time and full-time hours depending on availability and campus needs.
