Tivity Health, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Director of Accounting to lead and oversee critical financial functions, including the General Ledger (GL) team, Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting team, Payroll team, and Internal Controls initiatives. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining a strong internal control environment, and driving efficiency across accounting operations. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with deep technical accounting expertise, a strong leadership background, and a passion for process improvement. Key Responsibilities: General Ledger & Financial Reporting Leadership Oversee the GL team to ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes. Manage the technical accounting and financial reporting team to ensure compliance with USGAAP and other regulatory standards. Provide guidance on complex accounting issues, new standards, and financial disclosures. Lead financial statement preparation and liaise with external auditors for annual audits. Payroll & Internal Controls Oversight Supervise the payroll team, ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing and compliance with tax regulations. Develop and implement strong internal control frameworks to safeguard company assets and prevent financial risks. Evaluate current processes and recommend improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. Ensure adherence to internal control requirements. Facilities Oversight Provide leadership and oversight of facilities operations across two locations, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities, budget expectations, and vendor/service agreements, including coordination with property management. Partner with Facility Liaisons to manage day-to-day facility needs and contribute to long-term planning related to space utilization, capital expenditures, lease obligations, and workplace experience. Strategic Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration Serve as a key advisor to senior leadership on financial performance, compliance risks, and operational efficiencies. Collaborate with finance, operations, and HR teams to align accounting functions with broader business goals. Lead and mentor accounting team members, fostering professional growth and development. Drive automation and system enhancements for improved financial reporting and payroll processes. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA strongly preferred). 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, with leadership experience in financial reporting, payroll, and internal controls. Deep understanding of USGAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls best practices. Experience with private equity ownership and reporting. Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Experience with the following ERP systems and financial reporting tools is a plus: Oracle EBS, Adaptive Workday, Spreadsheet Server, Blackline, Tableau. The salary range for this opportunity is $98,900 to $138,400. Compensation depends on several factors: qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience.
