Housing Overnight Position
Schedule/Hours:
Nights Saturday & Sunday, 8pm to 8am This position is responsible for: Monitors the activity of long-term residents participating in a residential rehabilitation or treatment program; ensures the safety, security, and compliance to house rules; maintains accurate and complete client and case records and logs containing pertinent information; ensures that the long-term housing facility is maintained in a neat and proper order; ensures compliance of the treatment plan and teaching skills are adhered to. Key Responsibilities: Monitors the activities of the resident's ensuring safety and compliance with long-term resident facility house rules; checks the security of all windows and doors; makes periodic rounds of entire facility; records any unique situations occurring on assigned shift. Responds to emergencies in a calm manner and initiates appropriate corrective actions in accordance with established policies and procedures. Completes required paperwork representing client intake as well as daily case notes; inputs data into the computer in order to maintain client records. Assists with all verbal and physical aggressions that might occur from residents Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Constant amount of physical effort required associated with hand movement, holding, finger dexterity, reading, writing, eye-hand coordination, vision, hearing, talking and sitting at least 90% of the work time; rare to occasional amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting up to 30 lbs, pushing, pulling, climbing, bending, squatting, crawling, and reaching at least 30% of the work time. Work is performed in a normal office environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like. Work requires travel in order to conduct community and home visits. What We Are Looking For In You: High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred AND one year experience performing security or social service work preferred, OR any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
