Circuit Provision Engineer
The Circuit Provision Engineer will be responsible for managing network incidents, troubleshooting Edge/IP network issues and circuit ordering/verification. This role requires a proactive individual who can handle a dynamic environment and ensure operational excellence in managing circuits and network reliability. ISP / Vendor Portals: Tools for managing circuits and service requests with ISPs (e.g., AT&T Business, Verizon Enterprise). Ticketing & Workflow Management Systems: Jira, ServiceNow (SNOW), BMC Remedy: For ticket tracking and IT service management. Collaboration & Documentation Tools: Confluence, Slack / Microsoft Teams: For collaboration and documentation. Command-Line Tools for Network Diagnostics: Ping, Traceroute, Nslookup, Wireshark: For network troubleshooting and analysis. Key experience Focus Areas: (Must haves) Network Troubleshooting Expertise: Hands-on experience diagnosing and resolving Edge and IP network issues, including routing, switching, and connectivity problems. Proficiency in troubleshooting IP networks, with practical knowledge of protocols such as BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and VPNs. Familiarity with network edge devices, including firewalls, routers, and switches. Incident Management Skills: Strong background in incident handling, ticket management, and escalation processes. Ability to analyze and resolve high-impact incidents effectively, particularly in time-sensitive scenarios. Experience conducting root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring issues and recommending process or configuration improvements. Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of circuit provisioning processes and experience working with ISPs. Proficiency in using network monitoring and incident management tools such as SolarWinds, Splunk, or ServiceNow. Practical experience using command-line tools for network diagnostics (e.g., ping, traceroute, nslookup).
