IT Server Engineer

We are excited to be on the search for our newest Server Engineer. The Server Engineer is responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining servers and related virtualization environments while ensuring that these systems remain secure and highly available to service the computing needs of the enterprise. This position recognizes potential issues within the systems and recommends and implements solutions for improvement. This position holder stays abreast of emerging technologies and security practices and is viewed as a thought leader in technical architecture who influences technology and solution road maps. Specialty1 Partners currently has over 220 locations across 28 states. Responsibilities

VMware Virtualization Administration Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop and/or similar Application Virtualization Technologies Support and Maintenance of Hyper-Converged Infrastructure Security Updates/Patching/Imaging Design, configure and maintain disaster recovery site infrastructure and failover plans Provides guidance on technical aspects of infrastructure systems development and integration to ensure strategies, road maps, policies, standards, and practices are properly applied Perform project, capacity, and budget planning, including identifying projects, developing project tasks and timelines, estimating future capacity requirements, obtaining budgetary quotes, and determining interoperability requirements for hardware and software Maintains a relationship with hardware and software vendors, including support calls and maintenance updates Performs routine system hardware and software audits Evaluates and provides recommendations for new hardware and software technology Develops scripts and implements processes to automate routine tasks to proactively maintain a healthy server environment Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience required 8+ years of IT experience 5+ years of experience with Data Center infrastructure and virtualization technologies Expert working knowledge of virtualization technologies Administration experience with Microsoft OS, Citrix, VMWare, Unix, and Linux technologies Administration experience with Microsoft technologies such as Sharepoint, Active Directory, and Exchange Good documentation skills in a large scale environment Proven customer relationship skills Benefits
