Open & Constructive Take Pride in Our Product Relentless Commitment Care About Our Customers Team Success The Senior Payroll Specialist will work within the Payroll Team as part of our Finance Department. This position is responsible for overseeing the weekly processing of payroll and will step in to assist in processing if needed. The Senior Payroll Specialist will manage a complex union and multi-state payroll, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. The descriptions below are representative of, but not limited to, the expectations of this role. Prepare and analyze payroll reports, including weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end. Respond to payroll inquiries and resolve escalated issues in a timely fashion. Preparation of union benefit reports on a monthly basis. Manage and reconcile payroll-related accounts. Staying current on union rules and regulations. Accurately process and verify payroll data, including wages, benefits, taxes, and deductions. Process off-cycle payments and retroactive deductions. Assist in union audit requests. Compile complex reports as required by management, unions, and government agencies. Provide training and guidance to members of the payroll team. Ensure compliance with all relevant payroll tax regulations. Reconcile and transmit files and payments for taxes, deferred compensation, retirement plans, and garnishments. Communicating and upholding the Company's commitment to Integrity and Code of Ethics. Other relevant tasks as assigned. 5+ years of payroll experience. Experience with multi-state and multi-union payrolls preferred. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics software is preferred. Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementation is a plus. Familiarity with construction industry-specific payroll practices and regulations. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Travel is not required for this position. As a Senior Payroll Specialist, you will be subject to a traditional office setting. The employee must be comfortable with sitting for an extended period.
