Seasonal Aides Opportunity
The City of Carson's Community Services, Parks & Recreation Division is hiring Seasonal Aidesa perfect opportunity for individuals 16 and older who want to gain hands-on experience, support community programs, and develop valuable workplace skills. This entry-level, part-time role offers a chance to be involved in recreational activities, sports, and special events throughout the city while making a positive impact in your community. Job Summary: Under general supervision to perform a variety of routine and repetitive manual or recreational duties on a seasonal basis and to perform related duties as required. Essential Duties
(These functions are representative and may not be present in all positions in the class. Management reserves the right to add, modify, change or rescind related duties and work assignments.) Officiate and/or score keep clinic division T-Ball, flag football, soccer and basketball games. Prepare baseball, soccer, football fields, and basketball gyms for youth and adult sports games. Assist with setup and breakdown of park programs and citywide events. Assist with general cleaning at city facilities and grounds. Assist with basic office support such as organizing, scanning, copying, filing, etc. Assist with customer surveys for park programs and citywide events. Parking lot attendant for programs and citywide events. Patrol park grounds and facilities and inform of park rules and city municipal codes. Notify immediate supervisor of any hazards or safety concerns. Qualifications
A typical way to obtain the requisite qualifications to perform the duties of this class is as follows: Education and/or Experience: Completion of formal education sufficient to assure the ability to read and write at the level required for successful job performance. Applicant must be 16 years old to apply. Knowledge of: Sports, games and group activities; first aid and safety. Skill and Ability to: Follow oral and written instructions. Learn and enforce safety regulations. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. Working Conditions
