Safety Coordinator

Selectek is seeking an experienced and proactive Safety Coordinator to lead and support our safety initiatives within our manufacturing operations and at client sites. This role focuses on promoting a culture of safety, ensuring OSHA compliance, and supporting behavior-based safety programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing safety, proven leadership in industrial or construction environments, and a hands-on approach to training and compliance. Responsibilities: Provide leadership and oversight for safety practices in a manufacturing and industrial setting. Conduct OSHA-compliant training for new hires and ongoing crew refresher courses. Maintain and manage third-party safety compliance portals, including ISNetworld, Avetta, Gatefeed, and TappiSafe. Lead and execute field audits to ensure safety practices and OSHA regulations are followed. Serve as the in-house safety compliance expert for the manufacturing facility and customer sites. Deliver First Aid and Introductory Rigging training to field and shop personnel. Identify, manage, and maintain an inventory of safety training materials and documentation. Support and lead behavior-based safety programs, actively engaging with teams across the organization. Travel occasionally (less than 30%) to support district-level job planning, training, and audits. Train on MSHA standards as necessary. Requirements: 25 years of experience in a safety-focused role within a manufacturing environment. 3+ years of leadership experience in safety in an industrial or construction setting. Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations. Familiarity with MSHA (training will be provided). Experience with safety compliance management systems (ISNet, Avetta, Gatefeed, TappiSafe, etc.). Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and train diverse teams. Demonstrated ability to lead field safety audits and enforce compliance standards. Hands-on approach with a commitment to continuous improvement in safety performance. Preferred: Certifications in OSHA, First Aid/CPR, Rigging, or similar safety programs. Experience with rotating equipment or heavy industrial manufacturing environments.
