What You Will Do: Support a Raytheon program in a classified environment as a Senior Principal Linux System Administrator. Build, maintain, and secure Information Technology systems and directly support customer mission-critical capabilities. Work closely with program developers and system engineers to research issues, determine root causes and implement solutions to system problems. Support occasional after-hour maintenance and on-call support, and lift to 35 pounds in support of hardware installations. Occasional travel may be required for installation support. This position is 100% onsite role. Qualifications You Must Have: Typically requires a bachelor's degree and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or a master's degree and minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience. Must have active and transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI with poly security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. An active cyber security certification, qualified for DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 on start date. IAT Level 2 requires one or more of the following Professional Certifications: Security+ CE, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, CySA+, CND. Experience administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) based systems. Experience using and developing automation tools/frameworks such as Ansible, as well as scripting, primarily Bash and Python. Qualifications We Prefer: Deployment and administration of systems, storage, and networking in virtualized environments using VMware vCenter. Experience managing network devices. Experience administering Windows based systems. Experience with pipeline tools such as Jenkins and Artifactory. Demonstrated ability to work independently and troubleshoot problems with efficiency. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
