Exploitation Specialist (Data Scientist)
Metronome is seeking a skilled Exploitation Specialist (Data Scientist) to join a forward-leaning NGA team in Washington, DC. This role directly supports the CENTCOM mission set, with a focus on AI development and GEOINT automation. You'll work alongside government teams driving the integration of AI tools into operational platforms, supporting the future of intelligence collection. As a mid-level professional, the ideal candidate will demonstrate technical proficiency and the ability to work independently with minimal oversight, while also contributing to team efforts and mission execution. Candidates should be comfortable leading discrete tasks or small workstreams, producing high-quality, tradecraft-aligned work products, and providing occasional mentorship to junior staff. The position also requires close collaboration with Government and mission stakeholders, offering accurate technical input that enhances collective analysis and mission impact. Key Responsibilities: Develop and deploy AI tools to enhance GEOINT collection automation Provide embedded support to analytic teams for data-driven decision-making Collaborate closely with remote teams and mission partners across NGA Integrate new AI capabilities and automation pipelines into NGA Source operations Required Skills: Active TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph willingness Strong proficiency in Python Experience developing AI tools Ability to work onsite (with very limited remote flexibility) Preferred Skills: Experience with LLM integration, RAG development, prompt engineering, or NLP Experience deploying AI tools into operational software environments Familiarity with intelligence types: SIGINT, OSINT, ELINT, GEOINT, MASINT, HUMINT Knowledge of geospatial analysis tools such as JEMA, Brewlytics, and ArcPro Programming experience in R, SQL, HTML, and JavaScript Familiarity with NGA/NRO collection systems About Metronome, LLC: Metronome is a spark that ignites passion for our customers and each other.
