Job Description

MAJOR FUNCTION:

The Associate Network Engineer supports the network by tending to routine support tickets and some modestly complex issues with assistance. They participate in projects by proficiently performing assigned tasks, meeting target dates, and producing high quality work. They receive instruction eagerly to grow skills, become increasingly more capable, and contribute more and in more ways to the overall productivity of the team. This hybrid role requires 2 days onsite in Bridgeton, Mullica Hill, or Vineland, and occasional onsite presence across Inspira Health sites as business needs dictate. The position includes an on-call rotation every 5 weeks.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field is preferred Associate degree and/or experience in related fields will be considered in lieu of education and certification. 0-1 year of professional experience in a networking or IT support role. Certification/ Licensure:

CompTIA Network+ preferred.

Position Responsibilities

Daily Operations:

• Provide first-level support for LAN/WAN/WLAN infrastructure across the enterprise.

• Assist in troubleshooting TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN issues.

• Support configuration of Aruba, Alcatel Lucent, and Fortinet devices under guidance.

• Document changes to network configurations and topologies.

• Respond to service tickets and escalate complex issues.

• Participate in a weekly rotating on-call schedule.

Collaboration & Team Support:

• Collaborate with fellow team members to learn and execute assigned project tasks and daily operational support tasks.

• Receive mentorship and technical guidance from more senior network engineers.

• Assist in the development and updating of technical documentation and network diagrams.

Network Monitoring & Troubleshooting:

• Resolve routine support tickets independently.

• Participate in modestly complex incidents with guidance from senior engineers.

• Progressively grow skills to handle more advanced technical challenges.

• Monitor the basics of network performance and availability.

• Identify and resolve common and routing network issues, participating in service delivery and SLA attainment.

• Expertly conduct root cause analysis for any network failures or issues.

Design and Projects:

• Participate in network projects as a support team member.

• Assist in executing tasks or routine configurations under close oversight.

• Implement network technologies based on designs created by senior team members.

Documentation:

• Update and maintain network documentation and diagrams with increasing proficiency and with help from senior engineers.

• Learn documentation standards, tools, and practices.

Security:

• Comply with all security policies and procedures.

• Escalate any observed weaknesses or policy violations.

• Participate in basic security-related tasks under supervision.
