The
Associate Director of Behavioral Health
is a behavioral health clinician who works closely with the Director of Behavioral Health and is responsible for overseeing and guiding integrated behavioral health services/programs at Piedmont Health Services (PHS). This includes managing clinical outcomes, ensuring compliance with regulations, and leading strategic initiatives to improve patient outcomes in our Behavioral Health program.

As Needed Duties/ Responsibilities -
In conjunction with DBH, develop staffing plans for behavioral health for the CHCs. Provide training programs to CHC employees and behavioral health clinicians. Ensure high-quality care delivery by PHS behavioral health staff through training, peer review, and mentoring. Maintain and continuously improve provision of behavioral health services at CHCs. Oversight of PHS substance use services in conjunction with DBH. Coordinate and implement staff trainings within CHCs appropriate to their role in the integrated model of care and behavioral health. Maintain relationships with community and academic partners to assure access and sustainability of specialty service. Provide oversight to students/interns from professional schools, and provide relevant training applicable to their roles. In conjunction with DBH, manage and grow additional integrated care programs and services at PHS. Provide clinical supervision to provisionally licensed clinicians within CHCs. Clinical:
Co-manage health center patients with primary care providers and other clinical team members. Routinely conduct brief, evidenced based and developmentally sensitive behavioral health screeners for identification of symptoms, diagnostic assessment and monitoring progress. Routinely conduct brief, evidenced based and developmentally sensitive substance use screeners for identification of symptoms, diagnostic assessment and monitoring progress. Expertise in common modalities used in primary care settings including cognitive behavioral therapy, behavioral activation, substance use recovery models, solution focused therapy, problem solving therapy, and motivational interviewing. Schedule and implement brief behavioral health visits (20-30 min) with patients and brief consultations as needed with primary care team (exam room, curbside, team treatment planning). Documents all work in shared electronic record that allows for unified care team communication and care plan. Collaborates frequently with site care coordinators about patient needs, responses to treatment, self-management concerns, and referrals to community resources. Functions independently and completes assignments with minimal supervision.
Qualifications -
Education:
- Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or other behavioral health or human services related field.
Required:
3 years of clinical experience in the field of behavioral health.
1 year of supervisory or management experience.
Preferred:
Bilingual (Spanish Speaking)
Current/valid License:
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS); Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
Immunizations:
All PHS Immunizations as needed.
Pay Range -
$76,424.00 - $102,707.00
