Wastewater Collection System Supervisor
Brentwood is seeking a skilled, driven, and experienced professional to oversee and optimize our wastewater collection system. As a Wastewater Collection System Supervisor, you'll lead a dedicated team responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our sewer infrastructure, including lift stations, pipelines, and maintenance programs. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be: Equivalent to completion of the twelfth (12th) grade, supplemented by specialized or college level training in construction/maintenance, public administration, or business management. Four (4) years of increasingly responsible experience in construction, maintenance, and repair of wastewater collection and storm drain systems; including one (1) year of lead experience. Licenses and Certifications: Possession of a valid Class B California Driver's License, and a satisfactory driving record, to be maintained throughout employment. Possession of a Grade III Wastewater Collection System Operator Certificate issued by the California Water Environment Association to be maintained throughout employment. Those candidates identified as best qualified will be invited to a panel board interview, tentatively scheduled for the week of August 25, 2025. Eligible List: All applicants that pass the examination process will be placed on the eligible list which is good for at least 6 months and may be extended up to an additional 18 months. This eligible list will be used by the City of Brentwood to fill all current and future openings in this classification as long as the list is active.
