The P RZ OPERATIONS TRAINING Department of the P OPERATIONS PERFORMANCE Division at Hawaiian Electric Company has one Management vacancy available. (Role: Professional) Responsible for developing, maintaining, and conducting training programs, materials, and scenarios relating to the technical skills for System Operators, System Operation Shift Supervisors, and Switching Coordinators for Oahu, Maui, and Hawaii islands. Provides status updates, measures personnel progress, and effectiveness of programs. Evaluates participant's proficiency and qualification into the position. Utilizes continuous improvement best practices such as LEAN Six Sigma to enhance and achieve high performance with a safety mindset and operational excellence, to cultivate change to ensure employee competencies; and ensure through training activities our Company's service promise and standards, WeConnect philosophies, decision priorities, and core Company values permeate through the Division's daily activities. Essential Functions: System Operator Training Program & Curriculum Training Development Programs Training Simulation Development and Management Training Metrics and Key Performance Indicators ("KPI") Learning Management System ("LMS") Administration Basic Qualifications: Knowledge Requirements Skills Requirements Experience Requirements: Extensive (8+) years working experience in one or more operating/technical positions in the operating, system dispatching, engineering departments, or equivalent experience (engineering design, power production, test & substation, system operation, generation or T&D planning). A BS degree in engineering in a relevant discipline from an accredited engineering school may be substituted for five (5) years of experience. Location: Honolulu
Oahu Hiring Range: The hiring range for the System Operation Technical Trainer & Developer [Req ID 9876] position is $97,900.00 to $125,000.00. The person selected will be placed according to his/her skills and qualifications.
