We are currently seeking a part-time Bouldering Instructor to provide services and support to an outside rock wall at a fun corporate company's global headquarters located in Menlo Park, CA. This is an on-call position. Responsibilities:

Provide an engaging, safe, and community based environment for climbers to learn and grow Explain and demonstrate correct usage of climbing equipment and facility features Teach or co-teach core climbing courses for members Monitor participants and the area for safety Respond to member/guest suggestions, concerns, and complaints in a timely, professional, and consistent manner Maintain cleanliness and proper presentation of the rock wall climbing area Provide support to the broader fitness center as needed Requirements:

6+ months working in a climbing role or 2+ years experience working in an indoor climbing facility and/or as an outdoor climbing guide Climbing instruction background with ability to teach belay, lead climbing and technical movement classes Must have current CPR/AED and First Aid certification. Proficient in teaching belay, lead climbing and technical movement classes Experience setting and forerunning V4/5.10 Ability to multi-task, and execute time management and problem-solving skills. Must be knowledgeable about the industry with the customer skills to network, engage, and interact with all clients, guests, and participants. Competent with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook). The hourly rate for this position ranges from $15 to $25. Pay is based on several factors including, but not limited to, education, work experience, certifications, geographic differentials, and other business and organizational needs.
