Participating in all IRMC mandatory opportunities. Assuring evidence based educational programs. Participating in performance improvement projects. Completing Assigned Dept. Projects/Tasks. Assisting with Dept. Budget. Attending Department meetings. Participating in scheduled/assigned community events. Work cooperatively with all members of the Perinatal Educational Team. Assist with staff in-services. Job Specification Minimum Education Required: Graduate of a Nursing Program, Licensed Healthcare Program or Bachelor Degree in Health Related Field Minimum Experience Required: two years or more of teaching childbirth or maternal child education preferred or two years of practical experience in maternal/child or women's health nursing. Licensure/Certification Required Must be BLS certified required (or obtain within one month of hire). Skills Posses the ability to: Research, develop and deliver evidence based, inclusive educational programs. Organize effective teaching plans with appropriate teaching strategies. Resolve problems and work independently. Communicate effectively at many different cultural levels. Model patient advocacy in healthcare and guide customers through the informed decision-making process. Identify and work to achieve personal and team goals.
